JC Diorama Art is an independent miniature art business run by me, Joao Coelho, a Portuguese artist based in St. Helens, UK. I create highly detailed miniature dioramas of architectural facades, shopfronts, and forgotten urban spaces, with a focus on memory, history, and overlooked beauty. Each piece is handcrafted using recycled materials like wood, cardboard, and metal, combining sustainability with storytelling.
My work celebrates the poetry of imperfection, weathered textures, faded signs, and neglected corners that hold echoes of everyday life. Alongside exhibitions and private commissions, I also attend art markets and events to make my work accessible to a wider audience. I recently began offering hands-on creative workshops for children, teaching them to build their own tiny worlds and sparking imagination through miniature storytelling.
Whether itโs through art sales, commissions, or workshops, my mission is to preserve stories in small scale and to help others discover the magic in the details.
